Flashback Friday #33

Going back to 2015 now and a visit to the Tate Gallery. Despite having a local’s pass I haven’t been back for a couple of years (most of which it has been closed due to the pandemic), but hopefully once St Ives is less crowded I can return. Of course there are many more photos of St Ives on my Cornwall blog which I began when we moved there in 2016.

All these images were taken through the windows ofΒ the cafΓ© located on the roof of the Tate, St Ives. A slight glass distortion effect has been applied. The reflections are original πŸ™‚

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

    1. I haven’t been anywhere for months Pete. It will be nice to have quieter roads. And go to the beach again.

  1. We haven’t visited St. Ives since my now 31 year old daughter was 5 (when it rained – nay, deluged – almost every day). Time to revisit, I think. But definitely not in August.

    1. Very definitely not in August. As for the rain, well that can happen any time! I think April is a good month (avoiding Easter of course) and the gardens are at their best then.

      1. Five year olds dont care about gardens! But now we aren’t in thrall to school holidays we can choose a better moment.
