This month we will be looking for Gold. Gold is the colour of wealth, of power, of gods. Gold-leaf applied to paintings, gold crowns and coins. But look also for golds in the natural world, a fish, a sunset or sunrise, flowers and autumn leaves or sunlight on water. Or capture the light in the ‘golden hour’.
Golden Reflections

Such a peaceful scene. Happy Sunday!
A lovely memory of walking here with my son too. Aren’t they simply the best photos?
Definitely Memories lend enchantment to the view.
Peaceful, indeed – Was it taken in the UK?
Also, such a beautiful interpretation of this month’s theme.
My Golds are very simple! Found here:
No, this photo is from Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra in 2014. There is a lovely lakeside walk / promenade though you do need to be wary of cyclists! This was around Regatta Point in the evening, enjoying a walk with my son before heading off to dinner. An understated city in my opinion.
It must indeed be a lovely place to cycle – I can imagine reeling along for miles and totally switching off, just basking in the beauty of the environment.
I do love the golden hour but I’m usually up on the roof watching the colours change. Lovely image, Jude. Happy Sunday!
So a great opportunity for you to take a photo 📸 💛
🤣💕
Oh, this is lovely and serene, Jude. Here’s my full effulgence of gold, from a trip to Sicily about 6 years ago: https://suejudd.com/2021/09/12/life-in-colour-gold-2/
A lovely evening walk alongside Lake Burley Griffin with my son. Happy memories.
Ah, good!
As Margaret says, such a peaceful scene. V. soothing. And from me – and I’m sure you’re not surprised: https://tishfarrell.com/2021/09/12/taking-the-broad-view-mara-grasslands/
Not surprised, but delighted all the same.
That is very hospitable of you, Jude 🙂
Jude, this is a fantastic golden hour photo you took. 😀 😀

Thanks Cee. Right place, right time.
