Life in Colour

To find out more about this year’s photo challenge here on Travel Words, please read this post.

This month we will be looking for orange. One of the most vibrant colours, orange is zingy and fresh. It’s a warm colour, friendly and inviting. Soft at dawn, but louder at sunset. From the palest of peaches and apricots through to copper, rust, salmon-pink and terracotta, the range of orange shades in the natural world is phenomenal.

Colour possesses me.
It will always possess me.
That is the meaning
Of this happy hour:
colour and I are one.”

~ Paul Klee

Where can you discover orange?

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

        1. There aren’t that many trees – mostly native hedgerows in this part – and a small woodland down the lane. It’s usually too wet and mild for any major colour changes. Even the grass stays green throughout winter! Berries I suppose.

    1. You are quick! I was hoping orange would be a good cheerful colour for the start of autumn. Plus some autumnal posts.

      1. Well, I’ll have to see what I can find….I think I have pumpkin images from a year or so ago
