Life in Colour

This month we will be looking for Black or Grey. Black is not a colour at all. Theoretically it is the absence of all colour. Yet black is distinctive. Lines are bolder, shadows deeper, colours brighter against a black background.

This month is not about creating black and white photographs, but in finding the true blacks or greys in a colourful world.

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience.   7. So artistic – interesting that photos with such a limited palette, focusing on black – as opposed to black and white photos, as you say – seem so much more sophisticated than those with a wide colour palette!?!
