Azalea Steps

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling. View all posts by Heyjude

I might never move from there, Jude. Well, perhaps when the flowers died… xx
Great view over the lake I imagine, but I opted to sit on the Oak bench at the bottom of the steps.
So beautiful
It has been a colourful spring. I am only sad that it is passing so quickly! Only a month to the longest day of the year.
Beautiful!
The azaleas and rhododendrons have been fab this year.
How glorious. I’d join the queue to sit on that bench all afternoon.
I confess I didn’t walk up the steps this time, but I can imagine the bench is a welcome spot if you do!
Fab colour!
Yes. Perfect timing.
Good!
I didn’t attempt the steps though!
They give the bench-sitters a wonderful view. Gorgeous colours!
Best wishes, Pete.
Indeed. Jewel-like colours.
Wow, how gorgeous!
Very dramatic.
Occupied bench though, how dare they! Mind you, by the time I got to the top I would probably look so hot and bothered that they would take pity on a poor old soul and let me sit down 😉.
It was definitely a hot and bothered day!
The lighting was perfect Jude and a bench as well. Well placed at the top of the steps
A bench in a very welcome spot!
What a pretty place to sit and enjoy that riotous burst of spring colour. Azaleas are still very popular in mainly the cooler areas here.
