Red Squares in July

During July I will be joining in with Becky’s SimplyRed Squares.

Another bike – this time from San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf. Has anyone had a Fishwich?

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

        1. Ah the joys of getting old. My current no go are eggs. Only the runny ones though, so hard boiled is OK and eggs in cakes, but not quiches or scrambled or omelette which I used to love. Make me want to throw up immediately 🤢

        1. Not a fish finger person? Nor me now. But when things were tight they were good value for a meal. I expect today there is little fish involved.

  1. Another spot-on shot for the challenge! I enjoy a pub-style fish finger sandwich from time to time and imagine these would be similar 🙂

  2. Yes! Gorgeous ones in Monterey and also one each somewhere along the Big Sur route which was unbelievably expensive and was the first concrete proof that California requires a budget from a different planet!!

      1. Fillet with tartar sauce in chunks of rustic bread. Probably encrusted with diamonds judging by the price. However the Monterey one was just as delicious and not so budget busting, and what with the clam chowder was one of two of Monterey’s many seafood delights.

        1. Ooh, I do like tartare sauce with fish. Also clam chowder. Or any chowder come to that. If it’s good.
