Beth Chatto’s Gardens

No Six on Saturday post from me today, but here is one view of the planting scheme in Beth Chatto’s gardens in Essex. More to come later.

The Reservoir Garden replanted in 2017 so after my visit to these gardens in September 2016. The garden showcases a variety of ornamental grasses and prairie-style plants offering late season interest.

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

      1. I especially like the Judas tree in the reservoir garden and the well-placed bench under it. The planting in that area looked really good too, but it’s a few years since I saw it, so it may have changed a bit since.

        1. I may have actually sat on that bench, but of course the wrong time of year for the Judas tree to flower. We were last there in 2016 and this area was empty.
