Thursday’s Special: Scattered

My take on this is “throwing something in various random directions”which is what this fisherman appeared to be doing with his line.

Of course you could also say that the pebbles on this beach at Budleigh Salterton are also scattered randomly. It only took around 400 million years to make this beach.

Taking a close-up of a mundane object – in this case a door with peeling paint – I then played around with a stained-glass effect. Fascinating to see the myriad of tones that emerge from this mainly blue palette.

dating from 1877, now housing a university department. This once beautiful building, now somewhat dilapidated, is close to the Parque Príncipe (Prince) Real, near Bairro Alto which is a wonderful park though a little tired at the time of my visit in 2012, as indeed much of Lisbon was.
