Thursday’s Special

Paula is interested to see what we make of the theme Deconstruction this week. A difficult topic, but I hope she likes my interpretation.

Romneya coulteri / Californian tree poppy

Please pop over to see Paula if you would like to join in.

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

  1. This is a wonderfully beautifully flower, that is parting with bits of itself with style. Very nicely captured, Jude and a good interpretation of deconstruction. Very glad to see you participate.

    1. Thanks Paula, still travelling around so posting has not been easy, but I immediately thought of this flower I recently photographed when I saw your challenge.

        1. Just around the UK, been on the road a couple of weeks now and leave Edinburgh tomorrow for a relaxing week in the Scottish Highlands before the looooong drive back to Cornwall.

  2. It looks great, Jude. Your take on the challenge is fine and arty.
Hope you are having a gorgeous time in Scotland. We are going again next May, can’t wait to see your photos. Have you been to the Inner and the Outer Hebrides?
    Safe travels, best wishes,
    Dina & co
