Heyjude
I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

Aww! He/she’s lovely 🙂 🙂 Beautifully done, Jude.
Couldn’t resist trying to capture those feathers! And I think it is male.
Nice Pelican, Jude. The feather detail is great.
Best wishes, Pete. x
Thanks Pete 🙂
Love that golden, caramel-y colour in the head feathers.
During the breeding season (March) the breeding adults along the Pacific coast have red skin on their food pouch and their heads have a ‘golden wash’. Pretty aren’t they for brown birds 🙂
Very!
Wow – what a great photo! Love the detail in the feathers.
One of my favourite bird photos.
Great picture, Jude, not the least because of the composition.
