Time for another square month hosted by the lovely Becky. The photos don’t necessarily have to be of a timepiece, but are open to interpretation to reflect time in some way, or sayings such as ‘the passing of time’, ‘a stitch in time’, or time running away from you.
Day Ten: Time to Remember
To join in with the Squares challenge please visit Becky for instructions. Remember the only proper rule is that the photo must be SQUARE.
December Squares | Day Ten
Those war graves commission headstones are so poignant.
I see he died in 1919, so probably from wounds received.
Best wishes, Pete. x
I thought that too Pete.
Most likely, Pete
A name which caught your eye, or a relative?
I think I was looking for war graves at the time. No relation.
Forty five! And he was a Private, so probably slogging through trenches in his forties. I tend to forget how many older men fought in that war.
Lest we forget. War graves are such a contrast to the battles that occurred there.
At 45 he probably left several family members, such horrendous loss.
A sombre one, but excellent for the challenge.
