This month we are looking for Brown. The colour of Mother Earth.
This week I went out looking for countryside browns in my local area. There was no shortage of them, including mud.

What browns can you find in your world?

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

Beautiful pictures! 🙂
Thank you 😊
This is a first for me – the first photo challenge I am posting! Your country browns are gorgeous, especially the brown cow, and the tracks in the mud! Lovely.

Welcome to your first photo challenge, thanks for joining me 😊
Thank you for hosting!!
Not local at all, but you might like it. 🙂 🙂
Rust, a gate, a horse, a teasel, a chimney and especially mud – tick. A brown cow? Not so much. Nice gallery!
Country life!
Very nice browns! Love the mud!
I don’t! Especially when it’s mixed in with cow dung or horse droppings! 😂
Great gallery Jude 🙂
Thanks BB. Yours are none too bad either ☺️
🙂
Oh, great set of browns, Jude…I must hunt out some more
I went out with the intention of capturing some new browns. It feels good to have a purpose, though I am still using the phone rather than taking the camera.
But it’s a start…I haven’t left ‘Go’
Having to walk the same lanes every day can be boring so I am trying to focus on something different each time.
I barely get moving, and I haven’t left my flat for days on end
Well if it is icy then you need to stay inside. No one wants broken bones!
Nope, and osteoporotic me needs to be cautious. But the main reason I’m not out is because I don’t-trust-people-to-distance
It’s not too bad here, but I was taken aback last week when reaching for some ham in Asda a young lad (staff) came and stood shoulder to shoulder with me to refill the stock. And he wasn’t wearing a mask! I know some people can’t for health reasons, but then they should keep a good 2m away from anyone else. I was not impressed.
There are plenty who don’t take it seriously
