Life in Colour

To find out more about this year’s photo challenge here on Travel Words, please read this post.

This month we will be looking for Green. Green signals new life in spring, fresh green leaves, the shoots of new bulbs emerging from the soil. It is a cool and soothing colour, bringing us moisture and shade.

“Meanwhile the mind,
from pleasures less,
Withdraws into
its happiness…
Annihilating all that’s made
To a green thought
in a green shade

~ Andrew Marvell

It’s easy to find shades of green in nature, but what else can you discover?

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

      1. Well, obviously there’s a pub. A pub goes without saying. Where else would these blokes retire to after the game?

”Af’noon, Bert. Six pints of Scrumpy, six pints of Alfie’s, five Ploughman’s and a plate of Evelyn’s pasties for the lads, if you please.”

Or something along those lines, right?
        🙂

    1. Thank you for your wonderful gallery. I left a comment on your post, but it disappeared, maybe you need to approve it, or maybe it has gone into spam!

      1. Thanks, it was fun looking for all of this green. I’m looking forward to the next color …
