This month we will be looking for Green. Green signals new life in spring, fresh green leaves, the shoots of new bulbs emerging from the soil. It is a cool and soothing colour, bringing us moisture and shade.
“Meanwhile the mind,
from pleasures less,
Withdraws into
its happiness…
Annihilating all that’s made
To a green thought
in a green shade“~ Andrew Marvell
Cricket on the Village Green. Is there a more English image? 🙂
Probably not. Except maybe a pub on the green 😊
Well, obviously there’s a pub. A pub goes without saying. Where else would these blokes retire to after the game?
”Af’noon, Bert. Six pints of Scrumpy, six pints of Alfie’s, five Ploughman’s and a plate of Evelyn’s pasties for the lads, if you please.”
Or something along those lines, right?
🙂
Hahaha 😂 right! Though after this year a lot of those ‘Cricketers Arms’ will not be opening again.
A’int that the truth.
Have to have more green – but found only yellow – almost green…https://lagottocattleya.wordpress.com/2021/03/23/some-more-of-green-or-yellow/
Hey Jude,
now I have here my first green gallery. A lot of green for you, Jude 🙂 and the next week the second green gallery will come, than with more botanical green.

Thank you for your wonderful gallery. I left a comment on your post, but it disappeared, maybe you need to approve it, or maybe it has gone into spam!
Thanks, it was fun looking for all of this green. I’m looking forward to the next color …
