I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

Well, after two days of continuous rain our whole world is suddenly green again. And the good news is there is more to come over the next week.
And ours is dry and sunny! Win, win!
Love artichokes with garlic butter
Decades since I ate a whole artichoke, in fact you never see them in the supermarkets. Possibly the posh one, or a deli.
We have them in Australia whenever they are in season
Now THAT’s not a recent photo, and I doubt if you even took it in England. Ah, I love artichokes!
so do I, my body less so however!!!
π
π True. Never seen one here though Waitrose might sell them. This was either in USA or Canada.
Gracious. They even sell artichokes in the market here, in season, and our market is no poor man’s Waitrose!
Perhaps I need to go back to the Farm shops when it’s safe.
what a glorious colour green
Good aren’t they?
Wonderful soft greens – I’m planning to grow artichokes this year… hopefully the rabbits will resist them… the little blighters are dancing around outside my window as I write, nibbling on all manner of ‘greens’ from the flower bed! π¦
Oh, dear, that’s not good. You need netting.
I found some green in my world of travel. Your artichokes are so vivid. I’ll have to find some green in my vegetable garden.

Your travel journey is a delight. We’ll done finding so many different greens.
