Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

  1. It’s worth seeing how small the cars are by comparison, in the enlarged picture.
A pretty powerful place indeed Jude.
    Regards as always, Pete. x

    1. The lower falls look impressive, then when you pull out and see the rest of those cliffs and the upper falls you realise just how high it is! I am so glad I got to visit it.

  2. Whoa – as the photo flashed into view, I thought, “Yosemite Falls! Wait, has Jude been to Yosemite Falls?”

It IS Yosemite Falls. Have you been there? We have lots of granite formations here in Colorado, but not the waterfalls like that 🙂 I have great memories of my stay there many, many years ago.

    1. I have indeed Sammy. If you click on the tag ‘Yosemite Valley’ you can find my other two posts about it. A place that had quite an affect on me.

  3. It looks very impressive, Jude. And what a lovely shot this is!
I remember very well my first overwhelming visit to Yosemite. Big, great, greater and somehow so nordic in appearance. No wonder Yosemite is so popular. i really enjoyed this one.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend, all the best from the Four of us,
    Dina xo

      1. Much the same Jude. Keep finding houses that look fantastic online and so not nice when we drive by. We’re off on another countryside tour tomorrow.
