I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

That is undeniably curvy, Jude! Harking back to the days when they made an effort with something as mundane as an outside hand-rail. Very nice.

Georgian I guess. I like the railings and steps on to the pavement, some are very beautiful.
Almost makes one think you go down one more floor 🙂
I guess that they do have a basement. I shall have to have a closer look next time I am passing.

There are a lot of these railings in Ludlow on the Georgian buildings. We have the modern kind and they are not as nice. Or curvy 😦

I think I took this image using the film grain effect on my camera, it’s quite nice.
Feels French! Feels Hollywood! Feels timeless –
And just read you have a lot of these with gregorian buildings – well what nice tails and I love how lucid gypsy said understated elegance – such a thought provoking wordless Wednesday photo – hm
