Walking along the shoreline in San Diego I was virtually swamped by an explosion of colour – first these vibrant vending machines offering me a multitude of free advertising leaflets and then a stall full of colourful ceramic fishes.

I was definitely getting into the carnival spirit
and by the time I reached the kites down at Seaport Village
my energy levels were rising
and I was feeling very happy. After all it was February and here I was walking in sunny California ๐
Don’t you feel more cheerful now?
Yes, these pictures make me feel good. Thanks for sharing, and have a great weekend,
Pit
Can’t complain today Pit, sun out, but a very cold wind. Makes me feel much more cheerful when I see a blue sky ๐
Well, just now I only need to look out of the window for blue skies and sunshine. ๐
Absolutely delicious color. Love it especially in the winter months. Thank you, Jude. Nice punches of color to brighten my day. These put a smile on my face. ๐ ๐ โค
Nice to see you smiling here Tess ๐
Thank you, Jude. Am smiling wider today. I don’t often frown. Not good for my skin. Ha ha.
“getting into the carnival spirit” – oh groan, what a pun! Very vibrant photos though. ๐
Honestly, I didn’t know I had a boat with that name!
Well, how could one not feel cheerful? Thanks for the burst of colour in a rainy week.
Discovered this folder of photos whilst looking for something else – as you do. Sharing our rain hey?
I think you gave us too much. We flooded. 78mm in two hours is more than really necessary.
Oops! Sorry! Hope you stayed dry.
Love this burst of colour Jude. San Diego is such a vibrant city.
Wonderful colours and one of my favourite places too!
I will write more about SD I have a load of photos from there!
I look forward to it.
Oh I do, I do! I’ve got so many California shots I keep meaning to share on my blog, but never get around to it. You’ve inspired me Jude! All those windchimes, flags, wind socks, so very Californian, on a beautiful February blue-sky day….thank you! ๐
You should do a Wordless Wednesday or a Silent Sunday post Sherri. Just a photo. No words. Quick and a great way to showcase those photos that might not ever get seen. Mindst you, I’m not convinced that a chatterbox like you could keep so quiet ๐
Haha…yes, now that would be the biggest challenge of all, LOL ๐ Seriously though Jude, that actually is a good idea, would help keep me in the blogging flow. Watch this space… !!
Magnรญficos colores y una luz fantastica! felicidades por tu blog!
Thank you!
We went to Seaport Village too, and my favourite shop was the kite one. I would have like to buy them all!
Did you enjoy San Diego?
Yes, we did. We liked it very much and were sorry that we didn’t have longer in the area to explore more of the city/town. We did manage the zoo, though, which was good.
I wasn’t struck by the zoo. The wildlife park is supposed to be much better, but you need a car to go there.
