Silent Sunday

Seal Lion and his harem - La Jolla, San Diego California

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

    1. I didn’t notice any particular smells on this day, maybe the wind was in the right direction! It is lovely to see them in the wild as opposed to in a zoo.

  1. He is a proud as … a peacock? This expression doesn’t seem to fit for a sea lion so I checked if there were other idioms I could use. Apparently, there is an outdated saying: He is proud below the navel. I think that might be it. 😀

  2. He certainly looks very happy with his ‘ladies’. I don’t think I could cope with that many wives myself!
    Great shot, Jude.
    Best wishes, Pete. x

  3. Love this Jude. It does remind me a little of the boychild’s much younger days when he’d wear himself out tearing around, then just collapse on me afterwards.
