Life in Colour

To find out more about this year’s photo challenge here on Travel Words, please read this post.

This month we will be looking for Pink. A delicate colour that means sweet, nice, playful, cute, romantic, charming, feminine, and tenderness, is associated with bubble gum, flowers, babies, little girls, cotton candy, and sweetness.

What pinks can you find in your world?

Heyjude

I have lived in the UK for most of my life, but when young I definitely had wanderlust and even ended up living in South Africa for several years which was a wonderful experience. I now look forward to a long and leisurely retirement doing what I like most - gardening, photography, walking and travelling.

  1. How unusual those feathers are! I love the pink cottage too. I would add to your colour description that I love to see men wearing pink shirts – the colour often suits them. I don’t imagine you’ll be too surprised by the subject I’ve chosen. I had lots of fun yesterday digging out some of my favourite pictures:

    1. Why are the links coming up so big – is it a setting you’ve chosen/something you prefer? Becky’s site is doing it too.

      1. No idea what causes those block links. My links are normal text on other sites, so I wonder if it is the site of the commenter that causes it?

        1. I don’t think it can be the site of the commenter. I wonder if it is when the link is on a new line of its own.

        2. That’s an interesting theory. One way to put it to the test, I’ll add a link on Becky’s site and see what happens.

        3. OK. Just tested that on Becky’s site. And yes. When I entered the link on a separate line (I also inserted a blank line) it came up as a large block, but when I inserted the same link on the same line as other text it was just the usual https// link. Interesting. I wonder why WP altered that?

        4. Goodness knows why they do anything. I can’t seriously think any blogger would have picked for it to work that way. You do wonder if it is more accident than policy.
I have always left links on a new line as they look strange to me when they wrap part way through, but I’ll have to stop it. It hardly seems polite somehow. If it was a setting choice made by the blog owner, it would be different.

    2. Pink shirts can be nice with a dark suit. Again depends on the complexion I think. And roses are very welcome to join the celebration of the colour pink!
