October Squares

The October theme offers something for absolutely everybody – a chance to share past posts, past squares and glimpses of the past. I’m going to mix it up a bit, with photos that have appeared in previous Square challenges, some that didn’t make the final and some new photos that would have done. Day 13

If you want to join in either daily, weekly or just on the odd occasion then please visit Becky, the only rule is that the photo MUST be a square – that is four equal sides! You have been warned 😉

Life in Colour

A bonus Salmon Pink.

Pinkish bricks of the Maws building in Shropshire

The Maws Craft Centre and Maws Creative Spaces are a collection of art, craft and design studios situated in the picturesque Ironbridge Gorge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, 1.5 miles from the historic Iron Bridge. Housed in the refurbished Victorian tile factory of Maw & Co, once the world’s largest tile manufacturer. The building now comprises independently run studios – a mix of artists, designers & makers, galleries, a holistic therapist, a plant shop, the Tile Press café a craft supplies shop, the Gorge Parish Council office, IT consultants and media companies.

Can you find any pink architecture?

Life in Colour

To find out more about this year’s photo challenge here on Travel Words, please read this post.

This month we will be looking for Green. Green signals new life in spring, fresh green leaves, the shoots of new bulbs emerging from the soil. It is a cool and soothing colour, bringing us moisture and shade.

And it doesn’t have to be limited to nature!

Do you have any green buildings?

Get your green photos in soon as next Sunday we will be moving to a different colour.

October Squares | Day Six

This month Becky (the Queen of Squares) has challenged us to find lines. In Squares naturally. That is the only proper ‘rule’. I have been dipping into the archives for this one, as well as finding local lines.

And because I deliberately composed this shot on a tilt and cropped in tightly to highlight the crossing of the vertical and horizontal contrasting lines I am linking to the lovely Patti’s post.
